Spent Summer following graduation traveling around the world as part of the Williams In Hong Kong Program with 5 classmates. Attended Johns Hopkins Medical School where I met and married Barbara Pearson, a Barnard Graduate. Also graduated from the University of Maryland Law School. We then went to Rochester for residency (I-pediatrics; she-internal medicine). Went to Gallup, NM for public health service treating the Navajo Nation. Public health career included directing the National Health Service Corps; the U of Md Pediatric Outpatient and Emergency Room; the Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital; the Arlington, Va.,Montgomery and Prince Georges, Co. Health Departments; the Maryland and Oregon State Health Departments; Med Director and Scientific Affairs-Vaccine Div GlaxoSmithKline; Exec Director Maryland State Medical Society; Medical Director Optimal Solutions Group; Medical Director-Provider Resources, Inc.

We have been active in animal welfare through the Physicians Committee on Responsible Medicine. We have always had horses with us since 1971. I continue to swim and for the past 18 years have participated in a 4.4 mile open water crossing of the Chesapeake Bay.
