Ravindra Bhargava (M.A.)

I was already in the Indian Administrative Service when I came to Williams to do my MA in Development Economics at the Cluett Centre. After I went back, held various posts under the Government, the last being Joint Secretary to the Cabinet in New Delhi. Joined Maruti, new Government company to make cars in 1981. Suzuki of Japan became a partner in 1982 and I was managing Director from 1985 to 1997, when I retired. Suzuki was given control of the company in 2003, when it was listed and I joined the Board. since 2007 have been the Chairman.
